Pioneer Camp

The Pioneer Camp was a children's recreation area from the former GDR. It served mainly the children of employees of large companies that ran these camps as part of their social welfare. There were accommodation buildings, common rooms and sports or leisure areas. The stay combined games, excursions and collective education, often linked to the pioneer traditions of the time. After the change in political circumstances, operations ceased and the building gradually fell into disrepair; today it is mostly abandoned and resembles a typical recreational facility of its time.
