The building, which served patients for many years, is now slowly succumbing to the ravages of time. Empty hallways, abandoned examination rooms, and the silence serve as a reminder that even places once full of life can one day become nothing more than a memory. Yet the hospital still retains its unique atmosphere and a piece of the city’s history.

The unassuming, abandoned house held a surprise. Books and magazines, mostly in Russian, remained in the rooms, as if the owner had left only for a moment. Each room tells its own story, and we may never know the answer to the question of who once lived here.

Some places never got the chance to fulfill their purpose. The concrete remained unfinished. The staircases never led to life. Water never filled the empty spaces that had been waiting for it for years. Today, instead of laughter, only silence echoes here, and among the unfinished walls, nature is slowly reclaiming what belongs to her.

There are places where buildings have not lost their dignity, even after everyone has left them. Dust has covered the floors. Silence has filled the hallways. And yet something remains here that time has been unable to take away. Some places don’t need a name. All you have to do is stop for a moment.

Among the villa’s most interesting features were the mirrored staircase and the fountain beneath the villa, which today serves only as a reminder of the place’s bygone elegance. Today, Villa Marta stands as a quiet reminder of an era of luxury that is slowly fading away under the relentless passage of time and the forces of nature.

A church that no longer serves its purpose. Where the organ and singing once sounded, today only a hollow echo remains. The pews wait for worshippers who no longer come, and the light shining through the stained glass windows paints shadows on the graffiti-covered walls. Old chairs guard the altar, as if they still believe someone will return. The smell of the candles is gone, but the silence still carries weight. We weren't in the whole house, it was quite smoky, I didn't want anyone to run out on us (yes it really is abandoned by the owner, more likely to be some homeless guy from a nearby town) we had slippers 🤣

It is quite probably the remains of the unbuilt former barracks complex "Bílý vrch". The first building is unfinished. Part of the complex is used by the company.

They call it the Czech Chernobyl. We call it a ghost town with its own story. A city that was supposed to be alive, but today it's just shadows and concrete. The heart of a former military area where Russian sounds more often than Czech. The Soviet army lived its own life here, but after 1991 it left everything to time. Today, you'll find empty houses overgrown with greenery. The silence is occasionally broken by the wind or a rustle... or just your own footsteps. It's not Chernobyl, but the atmosphere will engulf you just as quickly.

A forgotten elementary school that once educated the children of Soviet officers in the heart of a military area. After the army left, there were empty corridors and echoes of laughter that you will never hear again. Today the place belongs to silence, nature and those who dare to look behind the curtain of the past. We were here - and it was like going through a history book that time had taken over.
