Cover deep under the Bata shop
Hi,I haven't made myself known for a while (nine months). Urbex will always be my passion and love but there is not always time and energy to answer everything and give it 100%. But now to the post :) it was a tradition that once upon a time during the raids on Mlada Boleslav when the troops were withdrawing from our territory, the inhabitants of the old town hid in several shelters (I have already mapped a few of them) and among them was the shelter under Bata. The reason why I am so specific in this post is simple,no one who is not supposed to get in there can get in...the entrance is hidden in a modern building which is guarded by a private security service, each door requires an access card, the fence cannot be climbed and the razor triangles on top cannot be climbed. To make matters worse, the entrance itself is secured by an old lock that cannot be locked and so the problem of how to get in came up...well in short, whoever welded the hinge of the lock back then probably didn't have much information about welding and the rigidity of the weld. The cover is not only about 10 meters below the level of Bata, but when one overcame this door, one had to walk another 20 meters down the staircase into the depths of the sandstone rock on which the whole Mladá Boleslav lies. The emergency exit opened onto the street somewhere in the middle of the public staircase, but it was walled up and so most people pass by and it does not even occur to them that this could have been an emergency exit from the shelter in times of war. At the same time, a few rooms suggest that it could have been partly used as a communication or telecommunication centre, but we did not find out where the officials or those in hiding could go to the toilet. If you've read this far, thank you, I'm in the mood to write after a long time. Anyway next time I will take you my dear followers to the command post for Mlada Boleslav. Thanks and some other time Pety1029
