It’s a bit like an expedition to a mysterious island. Fortresses from before World War I, fortresses from the Estonian era, fortresses from the Soviet era, a naval mine factory, and on top of that, a whole bunch of more or less believable ghost stories.
This is what I imagine the end of the world looks like. It’s a place with a very strange atmosphere.
It’s not exactly urban exploration, but it’s definitely worth a visit, so I hope you won’t stone me for it. Four R-12 missiles with thermonuclear warheads were stationed here. You know, the ones Khrushchev “churned out like hot dogs.”

A stop along the route
That’s what happens when you’re planning to visit “the best urban exploration site in Slovakia right now,” and after you finally manage to find it and figure out how to get inside, everything goes horribly wrong the day before… So at three in the morning, we set off on a backup trip to a beautiful, well-equipped civil defense shelter.
A beautiful castle with a view, elegant staircases, and a lifetime supply of fishing line, which, for some reason, is strewn all over the place.

Some old oils, cadmium salts, and other substances that cause cell death

We discovered this shack to be demolished by chance when we were driving by.
If you want to mine guano, I know where to find it. And call Schelinger to tell him we've found the pigeon house...
Strange tunnels in the middle of nowhere. Who knows what they were for.
An old ship. A good ship.
