It was founded in 1834 and the Czech crystal and coloured glass it produced made it famous all over the world. In 1952, she also produced one of the coronation gifts for the British Queen Elizabeth II. The small Šumava village grew thanks to this production. Apart from a school and a kindergarten, houses for glassmakers and, after nationalisation, apartment blocks were built here. But the furnaces burned out due to failed privatisation thirty years ago and the village has been dying out ever since. Now it's time to demolish it, so let's say goodbye to what's left of it.
