The album is a bit older. I wonder what it looks like now. Our visit coincided with a 'visit' from cheeky magnets who drove a van up to the entrance.
What to do if the entrance from the meadow is under close supervision of the neighbours? The answer is clear - the path directly from the main street
A rare occasion when this relatively large enclosure was accessible.
Hospice run by religious sisters, later part of the building was used as an apprenticeship. The Hospice is completely empty, the hall is impressive, but it has been damaged by damp and mould.
On the internet in urbex groups presented as a bank, but it is not. It's a movie set in an old mining spot. Nice atmosphere, though. Especially when the sun's doing its magic.
The underground is a different world. Unknown, surprising, dangerous. They remind me of capsules outside of space and time. It's hard to judge distance and elapsed time. Even though you go in on a sunny day, when you come out you'll be surprised to find that it's snowed 10 cm. Especially the old, hand-carved rocks, often leaning according to the fracture of the rock, are magical.
One for Avia racing. This one fell into the aviation industry. Entire aircraft - civilian and military, including the first Czechoslovakian fighter Avia S-92 - were leaving the gates. Later, complete aircraft were abandoned and production became engines, propellers, etc. There were production halls, a testing room, shelters, a water treatment plant... After the end of production, the site became a brownfield for a long time. Demolition and clean-up work is currently being finalised. The prán is a modern residential area including green areas and sports and cultural facilities. Visited just before the start of demolition.
Nice industrial doesn't have to be just steelworks or power plants. Textiles also have their charm. Although only part of a single floor was explored here, several documentary photos were taken. And spending a day with people with the same interests counts too.
Today, the urbexers are holding the door. Originally a castle, summer residence of an Italian family, after nationalisation the building was used as a school. Later renovated into a hotel.
One building demolished, will others follow?
When planning a trip to the underground or any other destination, I always check my map to see if Minda is nearby. So, today, two objects almost near each other and two Mundy's. The administrative office at the foundry is currently occupied.
Some of the statues have disappeared. The crumbling house is completely empty.
Wandering in a former military area. Outside of Mindy, there wasn't much to photograph. The last art is a bit off, but I'm adding it to this album. I know there are other Mindy's in M., but I didn't have the locations and no luck.
A familiar place that is slowly disappearing. It is interesting that in one of the velinas there are not the usual nude pictures on the wall, but pictures with a mole 🙂
The boiler house with offices remains the only building of the once famous plant that has not found a use and is falling into disrepair.
Cleaned out, not much left to admire8. However, the tricky shape of the building made for a humorous search for an exit.
A place that nature takes back. It's a former tin mine and prison camp. There are underground tunnels, but they are flooded. The photos are from the summer of 2022.
After the merger of two schools in the village, this building did not find a permanent use. The photos are from summer 2022.
