the "cathedral" of the siemens-martin steelworks by a well-known architect and designer
Ing. Stanislav Bechyn DrSc. from 1913 was his dissertation and was the heart of this steel city. It expired on 1 August 2001. This beauty was built by
concrete construction business of Dr. Ing. K. Skorkovský, known among other things for the construction of our first republican fortifications, only thanks to the owner only a shell remains of it. Nevertheless, in my opinion, it has a tremendous genius loci. The oil station became an integral part of it after the conversion to fuel oil, and at the end there is a building of laboratories and sanitary facilities of the SM steelworks adjacent on the other side.
