Why did mining stop here? Abandoned mines...
Proč se tu přestalo těžit? Opuštěné doly...

- Why did mining stop here? Abandoned mines...
Hi, today (23.12.2025) I went to the old abandoned mines. When I arrived at the place I couldn't help wondering! Almost everything was preserved, the place looks like it was never abandoned at all... even the car was left there.
At this location you can go into the mines themselves but BEWARE! It's unstable, the mines can collapse at any time.
Video from the site will be available on my YouTube channel DolikFM | URBEX (Video will be released on 7.1.2026)
I GIVE THE LOCATION ONLY IN EXCHANGE!
Something about the history of the mines...

Something about the history of the mines...
Shale mining in this area began in the late 19th century due to favorable geological conditions. At first it was done by hand in shallow adits and the raw material was used mainly for construction purposes. The 20th century saw the expansion of mining and the construction of underground infrastructure, which made it possible to obtain high-quality fissile shale. After the Second World War, there was a gradual decline due to the loss of skilled workers and a lack of modernisation. In the 1970s, production shifted to newer operations, which extended the life of the mines. At the beginning of the 21st century, they were revitalised in order to preserve the traditional shale industry for the future.

Nejprve probíhala ručně v mělkých štolách a surovina sloužila především ke stavebním účelům.
