- Where did the last workers go? Abandoned spinning mill

On February 26, 2026, I set out to explore an abandoned spinning mill, which today is only a silent witness to its industrial past. As soon as I entered the premises, it was clear that I was in for a powerful experience. Although the building is badly damaged and marked by time and human activity, it still retains a unique atmosphere. The silence of the empty halls, broken window panes letting in cold light, and the remains of the original structures create an environment that seems almost frozen in time. Every corner of the building tells its own story. Peeling...

Peeling plaster, rusty metal elements, and remnants of technical equipment are reminders of a time when daily work was carried out here. Today, the place feels calm, even melancholic in places, but it is precisely this combination of decay and history that gives the space its unique character. For lovers of urban exploration, it is an exceptional location that offers not only visually powerful moments, but also deeper reflection on the transformation of the industrial landscape.

Brief history of the building The spinning mill was established during the 19th century, a period of rapid industrialization when traditional domestic textile production was gradually shifting to mechanized factories. The family business gradually developed and modernized—manual labor was replaced by machines powered first by water and later by steam. The main production activity was the processing of natural fibers, especially flax and cotton, from which yarn was produced for further textile processing. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, similar spinning mills were among the major employers and had a significant impact on the economic and social development of their surroundings. Over time, however, the textile industry faced economic crises, growing competition, and later the fundamental political changes of the 20th century. These circumstances led to a decline in production and ultimately to the cessation of operations.
Today, the complex remains as a reminder of the industrial era that shaped the entire region. The abandoned buildings bear traces of the past and provide space not only for photographers and artists, but also for quiet respect for the history of the place.

Dne 26. Ticho prázdných hal, rozbité okenní tabulky propouštějící studené světlo a torza původních konstrukcí vytvářejí prostředí, které působí téměř zastaveně v čase.

Tyto okolnosti vedly k útlumu výroby a nakonec k zániku provozu.
