The paper mills were in operation from 1867 to 2025. Operations ceased on September 30, 2025; the machines had already been shut down on September 29, and most of the 176 employees were laid off. The layoffs of the last paper mill employees, who were responsible for selling off the remaining inventory, were scheduled for January 2026. Today, there are a few warehouses on the premises, as well as one active office responsible for selling off the machinery and equipment. It is practically impossible to gain access to the complex—there are cameras everywhere and a constant security patrol.
